** ALL MEASUREMENTS IN OUR CHART ARE A GUIDELINE ONLY AND ARE BASED ON OUR OWN UNIQUE ARTESANDS FIT SPECIFICATIONS
At Artesands we understand that every women’s body is uniquely different and that we all don’t fit into a standard body size mould. We all have curves but not all our curves are in the same places, so it’s really important to know our own individual bodies and take our measurements correctly to find the perfect curve fit or plus size swimsuit to perfectly fit our unique and individual curvy bodies.

To find your perfectly sculpted Artesands curve fit or plus size swimsuit we suggest you measure 6 different points on your body.

These are the measurements required for finding your perfect fit.
Please note, it is very common to be differing sizes from your bust, your mid-section and to your hips.

Bust

To measure your bust please wear a comfortable natural shape bra that is not padded, horizontally run the tape measure along the top of your bra at the back which should align with the fullest part of your bust.

Under bust

To measure your under bust please wear a comfortable natural shape bra that is not padded, horizontally run the tape measure along the bottom of your bra at the back which should align with your under bust.

Waist

To measure your waist, you need to measure your waist at its smallest point. To find your natural waistline, bend to one side to find the natural indentation in your side. This is your natural waist. Horizontally run the tape measure around your natural waistline, please ensure tape measure is running parallel to the ground to get an accurate curvy girls waist measurement.

Upper hip

To measure your upper hip, you need to measure your tummy at its fullest point. Please do this measurement against bare skin and not over clothes. Measure comfortably and do not suck in or pull the tape measure really tight. Horizontally run the tape measure around the fullest part of your abdomen, please ensure tape measure is running parallel to the ground to get an accurate measurement.

Lower hip

To measure your lower hip, you need to measure your hips at its widest point. Please do this measurement against bare skin and not over clothes. Measure horizontally around the fullest part of your lower hip with the tape measure parallel to the floor. An uneven hip measure will skew your measurements.

Body length

To measure your torso or full body length measurement, you need to measure around your torso. Please do this measurement in just your underwear. Measure from the centre of your shoulder then run the tape measure diagonally across your body between your legs back up to the centre of your shoulder. You could possibly need 2 tape measures. Taking this measurement is a bit tricky so we highly recommend following our in-depth instructions on our blog post The Curvy girls guide on how to measure yourself correctly.

Cup sizing

Knowing what bust cup size you are will help you select a style that will fit your curvy body perfectly. Your cup size typically is the same cup size as the bra you are wearing. We have devised a chart that shows how you can work out your cup size. The cup size is actually worked out by the difference between the fullest bust measurement minus your under bust measurement. This can be used as a guide to work out what cup size you would be. Our Multifit curvy swimsuits will fit a larger range of cup plus sizes than our underwired curvy swimsuits styles which will typically fit 1 to 2 different cup sizes. Always check the description on the website or the swing ticket on the garment to determine what curve fit or plus size cup size we feel is most suited to that style.

Understanding the Artesands plus + symbol
On all our Artesands size labels we have the sizing listed with a plus symbol next to it. Our plus symbol means ‘Plus a little bit more’.
